What is Microsuction?
Imagine a tiny vacuum cleaner for your ears – that's Microsuction! It's a modern and gentle method for removing stubborn earwax, without the need for water. Microsuction is a safe and effective method of removing wax from your ears.
My Microsuction Process in detail.
To start, I utilise a specialised tool connected to the microsuction unit. This tool applies a gentle and precise suction to safely extract earwax from your ears. To ensure the utmost accuracy and safety, I use a headset equipped with magnification and a bright light, enabling me to see every detail clearly. This provides a comfortable and effective earwax removal experience, leaving your ears feeling clean, comfortable, and your hearing in its prime.
What do I need to do prior to your visit?
Prior to your appointment, ideally for 3-5 days beforehand, please use some olive oil drops in your ears. This helps to soften the wax in preparation and makes the treatment much more effective.
What happens on the day?
To begin, let's examine your ears. Occasionally, the sensation of blocked ears can be an early indicator of potential hearing issues. If I detect a significant buildup of earwax that requires removal, I will provide you with a comprehensive explanation of the procedure. I will also inquire about your medical history to ensure there are no contraindications for a safe wax removal process. Finally, we will go through a consent form together.
